Helping people to help themselves.
We feel it is our responsibility to help those who, from no fault of their own, endure difficult life situations, yet have the will power to change their destiny.
Everywhere the Spronken Group companies operate and invest, it is aware of its broader social responsibility. This is why companies and shareholders support various non-profit and charitable projects in the health care sector.
In 2021, the rehabilitation centre in Geel, Belgium, in collaboration with the Spronken Group, inaugurated an innovative Experience Garden designed for prosthesis users, wheelchair users, and patients with neurological conditions. This unique outdoor facility supports rehabilitation for individuals recovering from stroke (CVA), cerebral palsy (CP), multiple sclerosis (MS), and other neurological disabilities, as well as those learning to walk with a leg prosthesis.
In 2025, the Spronken family laid a new foundation for its social involvement with the establishment of and donation to the non-profit organisation Doortje.
"The establishment of this charity reflects our belief that true entrepreneurship goes beyond creating value for our own generation: it is about providing opportunities, supporting people and achieving a lasting impact. With this contribution, we not only want to empower vulnerable groups, but also set a lasting example of solidarity and responsibility – values that are central to everything we do as a family.", Caius Spronken
